1. Who provides this service

DownTo1 Cars is provided by Michał Zajączkowski, Poland (sole operator, no business premises), contactable at info@downto1.com ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

2. What this tool is

DownTo1 Cars is a decision-support tool. It asks you what matters to you, scores a fixed catalogue of options against those preferences, and shows you the reasoning behind the ranking it produces. It is intended to help you think, and to make its own workings inspectable so you can disagree with them.

3. What this tool is not

It is not advice. The output is a ranking derived from criteria you selected and figures we compiled — not a professional recommendation, and not a substitute for your own research or for advice from a qualified person.

• It is not financial, investment, tax, insurance or legal advice, and we are not authorised or regulated to give any of those.
• It does not account for your finances, credit standing, insurance costs, local taxes, incentives, running costs or personal circumstances.
• It is not a purchase, valuation or safety assessment, and it does not inspect any specific vehicle.

Decisions you make after using this site — including anything you buy, finance or lease — are yours alone.

4. About the data

Figures shown are indicative numbers for well-specified versions, assembled so that options can be ranked against one another. They are not quotations, they are not tied to any dealer or region, and they go out of date.

Prices, specifications, equipment, efficiency and emissions figures vary by market, model year, trim and options. Always confirm every figure with the manufacturer or dealer before committing to anything.

Manufacturer and model names are the trade marks of their respective owners and are used here only to identify the vehicles described. Their use does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from those companies.

Where the numbers come from sets out how the catalogue was assembled, and which figures are measurements and which are judgements. Read it before relying on any single number.

5. Availability

The site is offered free of charge and on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may change, suspend or withdraw it, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, timely, or free of errors, or that the results will meet your requirements.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the site unlawfully, or in a way that damages or impairs it for anyone else;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or any system connected to it;
• systematically extract the underlying catalogue in order to reproduce or redistribute it as a competing dataset;
• misrepresent the output as professional advice, or as originating from anyone else.

7. Intellectual property

The design, text, scoring model and compiled catalogue are owned by us or licensed to us. You may use the site and share individual results for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. All other rights are reserved.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on the output of this tool, including any financial loss connected with a vehicle you buy, finance, lease or decline to buy.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot legally be excluded. If you are a consumer, you retain all mandatory rights under the consumer law of your country of residence, and these terms do not affect them.

9. Third-party links

Where we link to a third-party site, we do so for reference only. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data.

How this site handles data is described in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published here at the time you use the site is the one that applies, and the date above tells you when it last changed.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Poland, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring proceedings there.
